Issue Description:
There is a small exposure with the E450 power supply X-option and
FRU's. This is due to a mechanical interference between the E450
system chassis and the inner side of the power supply ejectors.
Manufacturing has been seeing 1 or 2 rejects per week for stripped
screws and this is the root cause.
The X-options and FRUs that are out in the field may exhibit this
problem and the installer could conceivably strip a screw.
Corrective Action:
When removing/replacing a power-supply, DO NOT use excessive force to
tighten the mounting screws. Check for binding of the mounting screws
during tightening, If binding occurs back-out and re-tighten the screw
to alleviate the binding of the screw.
Comments:
The E450 chassis manufacturer will correct this interference issue in
the coming months.
