Issue Description:
The Ultra Enterprise 450 Product Notes (805-2320-XX) provides incorrect
information on how to set the clock jumper for the 400MHz UltraSPARC II.
The silkscreen near J2701 on System Board 501-5270-0X provides incorrect
information on how to set the clock jumper for the 400MHz UltraSPARC II.
The silkscreen near J2701 reads:
ULTRASPARC 1/2 CLK SELECT
ULTRA-1 CPU 2-3
ULTRA-2 CPU 1-2
Implementation:

| | MANDATORY (Fully Pro-Active)
---
---
| | CONTROLLED PRO-ACTIVE (per Sun Geo Plan)
---
---
| x | REACTIVE (As Required)

Corrective Action:
When UltraSPARC II 400MHz modules are installed on Ultra Enterprise
450 System Board 501-5270-XX, a jumper is required at J2701 Pins 2-3.
With a 400MHZ Module and the jumper on Pins 2-3, the clock is set to
divide-by-four mode.
When UltraSPARC II 250Mhz and 300MHz modules are factory installed
in Ultra Enterprise 450 System Board 501-5270-XX, a jumper is installed
at J2701 Pins 1-2. The jumper is not required because there is no
connection to Pin-1. With the jumper installed or removed, the clock
is set to divide-by-three mode.
Comments:
The section "About the Clock Mode Select Jumper" in the Ultra Enterprise
450 Server Owner's Guide is superseded by the section "Main Logic Board
Jumpers" in the Ultra Enterprise 450 Product Notes.
The Ultra Enterprise 450 Product Notes 805-2320-xx is superseded by the
Ultra Enterprise 450 Product Notes 805-6577-10. Instructions on how to
set the System Board clock mode jumper for 250MHz, 300MHz, and 400MHz
UltraSPARC II modules are included.
The Ultra Enterprise 450 CPU Module Guide also provides instructions on
how to set the System Board clock mode jumper for 250MHz, 300MHz, and
400MHz UltraSPARC II modules.
Ultra Enterprise 450 System Board 501-2996 does not have a 3-pin header
installed at J2701. System Board 501-2996 is not compatible with the
400MHz UltraSPARC II Module. A board upgrade is available through sales.
Ultra Enterprise 450 systems were shipped with Ultra 450 Workstation
System Board 501-5028 under Deviation WO_14046. This board has not
been qualified for use with the 400MHz UltraSPARC II Module. A board
upgrade is available through sales.
The 167MHz and 200MHz UltraSPARC I is not supported in Ultra Enterprise
450 Workgroup Servers or Ultra 450 Workstations.
The 400MHz UltraSPARC II is not supported in Ultra 450 Workstations.
