Ultra 80 Memory Riser

Ultra 80 / Enterprise 420R / Netra t 1400/1405

501-5218
0MB FRU

Notes

  1. DIMMs are required on both the Riser Board and the System Board.
  2. Every populated bank must contain four same-size DIMMs. Four same-size DIMMs are a quad.
  3. To activate 2-way interleaving, quads must be installed in banks 0 and 1, which are non-adjacent banks.
(A third quad may be installed in either remaining bank, but that will disable interleaving.)
  4. To activate 4-way interleaving, all four banks must be populated with quads.
  5. Each bank addresses 1GB of memory.
  6. Damage to the Mictor Connectors can occur if DIMMs are installed or removed when the Riser Board is installed on the System Board.
  7. Improper seating of the Riser Board will cause the system to fail self-test.

Torque Requirements

  1. Use torque tool 250-1611 or 340-6091 to install the memory riser. Both are calibrated to 5.0 +/- 0.5 in/lbs (.565 Nm).
  2. A torque tool is included with systems that use the memory riser.
  3. The Micrometer Hand-Torque screwdriver (250-1239) with the main scale set to 5.0 lbs. and an "R2 Square Bit" may also be used.
