Host ID Chip
If you ever need to replace an entire Netra t1, you can re-use the old
system's host name and MAC address in the new system. The host name and
MAC address are stored on the motherboard in a removable component
called the Host ID chip.
Notes on Installing/Replacing:
- Remove the Host ID chips from both the new and the old systems.
- Fit the Host ID chip from the old system onto the motherboard
of the new system.
- Power the system and then drop to the ok prompt.
- Issue the command 'reset-all', the system will then read the Host ID chip.
