NeWSprinter 20 Service Manual
  1. Major service is recommended every 600,000 pages.
  2. The life of the Toner Cartridge is 12,000 pages at 5% print coverage on letter or A4 size paper. A J5 status code indicates a low toner condition.
  3. The life of the Fuser is 200,000 pages on letter or A4 size paper.

NeWSprinter 20 Operator Panel

NeWSprinter 20 IOT Test Print

  1. Switch the printer OFF.
  2. Press and hold TEST.
  3. Switch the printer ON.
  4. Release TEST. TEST PRINT 00 is displayed. The printer must warm-up for approximately one minute in order to print a test page.
  5. Press ENTER to start printing the IOT test print. The display indicates the number of test pages printed.
  6. Press ENTER to stop printing the IOT test print.
  7. Switch the printer OFF to exit the IOT Test Print Mode.

NeWSprinter 20 Print Counter

  1. Switch the printer OFF.
  2. Press and hold ENTER.
  3. Switch the printer ON.
  4. Release ENTER. The Operator Panel displays:
    PRINT COUNTER
    SELECTING DG 30
  5. PRESS ENTER. The Operator Panel displays:
    PRINT COUNTER
    XXXXXX DG 30
    X represents a numeric value of 000001 to 999999.
  6. Press TEST or ENTER to exit and cycle the printer power.

NeWSprinter 20 Input Component Tests

  1. Switch the printer OFF.
  2. Press and hold ENTER.
  3. Switch the printer ON.
  4. Release ENTER. The Operator Panel displays:
    PRINT COUNTER
    SELECTING DG 30
  5. PRESS TEST. The Operator Panel displays:
    SENSOR CHECK
    SELECTING DG 02
  6. Press ENTER. The Operator Panel displays:
    SENSOR CHECK
    EXECUTING DG 00
  7. The following input components can be tested: Fuser Exit Sensor, Toner Cartridge Switch, Upper and Lower Paper Size Sensors, Upper and Lower Paper Tray Empty Sensors, Manual Bypass Feature Switch, Interlock Switch, and Test Switch. The input component is functional if the numeric value displayed in the Operator Panel increases when the component is activated.
  8. Switch the printer OFF to exit.

NeWSprinter 20 Output Component Test

  1. Switch the printer OFF.
  2. Press and hold ENTER.
  3. Switch the printer ON.
  4. Release ENTER. The Operator Panel displays:
    PRINT COUNTER
    SELECTING DG 30
  5. PRESS TEST. The Operator Panel displays:
    SENSOR CHECK
    SELECTING DG 02
  6. Press TEST until the desired Test Code is displayed in the Operator Panel. The following output components can be tested:

    MOTOR MAIN &LEDs DG 90
    HVPS(C.COROTRON ) DG 91

  7. Press ENTER to test the component.
  8. When the MAIN MOTOR &LEDs Test DG 90 is selected, the Motor is activated. To stop the Motor, step through the tests until EXIT DIAG is displayed, then press ENTER.
  9. Switch the printer OFF to exit.
