Removable Media (Internal)
PATA/SATA DVD Drive Compatibility - Netra
When the PATA DVD drive (540-7563) reaches End Of Life,
it will be replaced by the SATA DVD drive (390-0443).
This transition will require redesigns, and thus new part numbers, for
the associated media assemblies and power distribution boards on affected platforms.
The following table illustrates the compatibilty of the
PATA and SATA DVD drives with the old and the redesigned components.
NOTE that all affected components must also be of the same type
(i.e. PATA and SATA components are not compatible with each other).
