Notes

1. The minimum Solaris operating system is Solaris 10 6/06 x64.
2. The battery changed from CR1225 to BR1225 in June 2007. (WO_35677)
3. Opteron 870 (370-7796) and Opteron 875 (370-7797) are listed on packing slips and Bills of Materials.
   These E1 Stepping part numbers were not used to build the Sun Blade X8400.
   These errors were corrected in January 2007. (WO_34425)
   Use E6 Stepping Opteron 870 (371-1834) and Opteron 875 (371-2648).

Module Notes

1. Use a 9/64-inch Allen wrench to remove the heatsink shoulder screws.
2. The Module FRU includes four pre-greased heatsinks.
3. The Module FRU includes four alcohol wipes and four thermal grease syringes.
4. The Module FRU does not include heatsink shoulder screws, springs, or washers.
5. Each syringe includes 0.5 Grams (@ 0.3ml) of ShinEtsu G751 thermal grease.
6. Each Opteron processor requires approximately 0.1ml of thermal grease.
7. Use a pre-greased heatsink or a thremal grease syringe, but not both.

Clearing CMOS Notes

1. Power off the X8400 and remove the blade.
2. Install a jumper at J6504, reinstall the blade, and boot.
3. Power off the X8400, remove the jumper at J6504, and reinstall the blade.
