Notes
- The minimum Sun Fire V100 operating system is Solaris 8 2/02.
- The hostid, MAC address, and OBP environment settings are stored
on System Configuration Smart Card 370-4285.
- The Sun Fire V100 System Board is based on the Netra X1 System Board
with updated OBP, LOMLITE2, and LOM EEPROM firmware.
- There is no Sun Fire V100 System Board FRU or UltraSPARC II FRU.
Memory Notes
- The memory installation sequence is Slot 3, 2, 1, and 0.
- Each DIMM slot addresses 512MB with <550MHz UltraSPARC IIe.
- Each DIMM slot addresses 1GB with >=550MHz UltraSPARC IIi.
- When equal size DIMMs are installed, the lowest slot number is
mapped to the lowest address range.
- When mixed size DIMMs are installed, the slot number with the
largest size DIMM is mapped to the lowest address range.
UltraSPARC IIi Notes
- The 650MHz UltraSPARC IIi is similar to the 270-440MHz UltraSPARC IIi.
Differences include integrated L2 Cache and SDRAM Memory Control.
- The 650MHz UltraSPARC IIi is based on the 500MHz UltraSPARC IIe.
- The 550-650MHz UltraSPARC IIi OBP and OS name is UltraSPARC IIe.
