Notes

1. The minimum Solaris operating system is Solaris 10 8/07 x64.
2. The systems CPU speeds and CPU part numbers are labeled on the blower air duct.

System Board Notes

1. System board removal requires a #2 Phillips Screwdriver and an 3/16" nutdriver.
2. The System Board FRU includes two 250-1802 Cleaning Wipes and two 310-0065
   Shin-Etsu X23-7783D Thermal Grease Syringes.
3. Heatsink 310-0206 is pre-greased with Shin-Etsu X23-7783D.
4. Two of the seven USB ports which interface to the AST2000 and are not user accessable.

Memory Notes

1. Install memory in matched pairs.
2. Install the largest capacity memory in the lowest numbered slots.
3. Install the pairs in slots A0/B0, C0/D0, A1/B1, and then C1/D1.
4. Memory FRUs include two matched DIMMs.
5. DIMMs are not labeled with the FRU or manufacturing part number.

Memory and Processor Notes

1. Use DDR2-667 FBDIMMs with 1333MHz Front Side Bus processors only.
2. The Xeon E5405, L5420, and X5460 FSB operates at 1333MHz.
3. Use DDR2-800 FBDIMMs with 1600MHz Front Side Bus processors only.
4. The Xeon E5462, E5472, and X5272 FSB operates at 1600MHz.
5. Mixing DDR2-667 and DDR2-800 FBDIMMs on the system board is not supported.
