- 750MHz Sun Fire V880 systems can be upgraded to use the 900MHz CPU/Memory
modules without replacing the motherboard, if the Solaris and OBP levels
indicated below are present.
- Mixing module speeds within a Sun Fire V880 is not supported.
- The minimum operating system for Sun Fire V880 to run at 900MHz is Solaris
8 10/01 with all applied patches, or Solaris 8 2/02.
