Notes

  1. Four DIMMs of the same size form a bank.
  2. A populated DIMM bank requires an UltraSPARC III CPU.
  3. Mixing UltraSPARC III and UltraSPARC III Cu is not supported.
  4. The USIII socket changed from Tyco to Cinch in October 2003.
  5. Alternate sockets from Foxcon and Teledyne were added in December 2003.
  6. Part numbers 540-5051 and 540-5821 changed to 540-6078 in December 2003.
  7. Part numbers 540-5052 and 540-5825 changed to 540-6079 in December 2003.
  8. Part numbers 540-5623 and 540-5795 changed to 540-6080 in December 2003.
  9. Part numbers 540-5267 and 540-5799 changed to 540-6081 in December 2003.
  10. Part number 540-5691 changed to 540-6082 in December 2003.
  11. Part number 540-5605 changed to 540-6083 in December 2003.
  12. 900MHz UniBoards 540-4934 and 540-4992 were reworked to 1200MHz UniBoard 559-0069. (GSAP 3101)
  13. Refer to the Install.info file of any Firmware patch for information on firmware verification and compatibility.
  14. All system board FRUs in the RSLs are non-COD. When replacing a COD system board, COD must be enabled, see FIN I-0912 for details.

SF3800 - SF6800 Notes

  1. The minimum operating system is Solaris 8 10/01 for 900Mhz, 1050MHz, and 1.2GHz CPUs.
  2. The minimum hot swap upgrade OS is Solaris 8 02/02 for all supported CPU speeds.
  3. The minimum firmware level for 900MHz and 1050MHz UltraSPARC III Cu is given as 5.12.5 in 816-3798-10 (November 2001), and 5.12.7 in 816-3798-11 (August 2002) and 816-3798-12 (February 2003).
But a minimum firmware level of 5.13.5 or 5.14.4 is recommended in 816-3798-13 (April 2003).
