Sun Storage J4500 LEDs

The Sun Storage J4500 Array provides the following LED groupings:

The front panel LEDs are located on the top left hand side of the front panel. These LEDs provide a quick visual check on the state of the system.

LED Name	Color	Description
Locate LED and button	White	Fast Blink - Aids location of the server in a crowded server room. Can be turned on or off remotely by software control such as ILOM or Solaris. Press the button to turn on or off. Pressing the Locate LED/Switch for five seconds turns all indicators on for 15 seconds.
System Fault LED	White	On - When service action is required.
Power/Operation LED	Green	Steady - Power is on. Blink - Standby power is On but main power is off. Off - Power is off.
System Power Button	Grey	This button is recessed to prevent accidental server power-off. Use a stylus to either: press and release the button to power the server on. or press and hold the Power button for four seconds to force main power off and enter standby power mode.
Top failure LED	Amber	On - HDD or fan fault.
Rear failure LED	Amber	On - Power supply, or system controller fault (service is required).
Over Temperature LED	Amber	On - When system is over temperature.

The rear panel LEDs are located on the bottom left center of the rear panel. These LEDs provide a quick visual check on the state of the system.

LED Name	Color	Description
Locate button/LED	White	Operators can turn this LED On remotely to help then locate the server in a crowded server room. Press to turn off.
Fault LED	Amber	On - service action required.
OK LED	Green	Steady - Power is on. Blink - Standby power is On but main power is off. Off - Power is off.
SAS Activity LEDs	Green	Port 0 - upstream link, Port 1 - downstream link
SC - System Controller LEDs	Blue Amber Green	Ready to remove. Fault, service action required. Operational
