Sun Fire[tm] B1600 LEDs

Use the LEDs on the individual system components to determine if the system is operating normally. We recommend you monitor the LEDs routinely on the SSCs, Power Supply Units, and server blades.

The LEDs can be off, on, or in some cases blinking slowly or flashing. When the fault LED is on (lit), this indicates that a fault has occurred in the component. A fault is any condition that is considered to be unacceptable for normal operation. When the fault LED is lit, you must take immediate action to clear the fault.

You can only remove a hot-swappable component when the blue OK/ready to Remove LED is lit.

Caution: When you remove a PSU, the white Locator LED on the chassis's front and back panels starts to flash. This is to alert you to insert a new PSU within 10 minutes of removing the old one, otherwise there is a danger that the server blades in the chassis will overheat. When you have inserted the new PSU, the Locator LED will stop flashing.
