Sun Blade Server Module Service Processor (SP) |
- The SP card is installed with Integrated Lights-Out Manager (ILOM) software.
- ILOM can be accessed via a Dongle cable assembly connection to the Universal Connector Port (UCP) on the front of the Sun Blade T6340.

There are 2 different Dongle cables. A three connector and a four connector.

To connect to ILOM using the four connector dongle cable, use the DB-9 serial connector.

To connect to ILOM using the three connector dongle cable, use the RJ-45 serial connector.
- The Dongle cable assembly is provided with the Sun Blade 6000 and Sun Blade 6048 chassis.
- For compatibility with legacy environments, an ALOM CLI emulation mode is available.

Universal Connector Port (UCP)
| Front accessible UCP provides Serial Management connection to ILOM via Dongle cable. Also provides dual USB 2.0 ports for keyboard, mouse or storage.

| PCI Interfaces with the Sun Blade Modular System (chassis) |
- I/O is offered in two form factors:
- PCI Express ExpressModules (EM)
and
- PCI Express Network Express Modules (NEM).
- Each Sun Blade T6340 has four, x8 lane PCI Express links allocated to:
- Each NEM has one link assigned to each server module. All server modules
share the NEM. For example, Blade 0 has access to NEM 0/slot 0,
and NEM 1/slot 0. Blade 1 to NEM 0/slot 1 and NEM 1/slot 1, etc.
- EM slots are not shared between server modules. Each EM slot is
specific to one server module.
