Sun Blade Server Module Service Processor (SP) |
- The SP card is installed with Integrated Lights-Out Manager (ILOM) software.
- ILOM on the SP card can be accessed via the Dongle cable assembly's DB9 connector to the Universal Connector Port (UCP) on the front of the Sun Blade X6220.
- The Dongle cable assembly is provided with the Sun Blade 6000 chassis and also orderable. Option X4621A.
- The SP card and ILOM provide the following:
- Support for Sun Management Center with add-on software.
- Support for Sun N1 System Manager.
- Compatibility for third-party SNMP system managers with requirements for SNMP (v1, v2C, v3).
- A Browser User Interface (HTTP/HTTPS).
- DMTF/CLP based CLI and SSH.
- Support for RADIUS, LDAP, and MS Active Directory.
- IPMI 2.0 (Host access through KCS and remote), Remote KVMS/Java
Console (redirected Keyboard Video Mouse and Storage through a
JAVA Application).

Universal Connector Port (UCP)

The Dongle Cable Assembly (Option X4621A) that ships with the Sun Blade 6000 chassis connects to the UCP and provides the following:
- VGA HD15 port to the ATI Rage XL graphics chip.
- 2 USB 2.0 ports.
- DB9 serial port (for connection to SP ILOM).
- RJ45 port. Not supported on the Sun Blade X6220 or X6250.
- DB9F to RJ45F DCE Adapter.

| PCI Interfaces with the Sun Blade Modular System (chassis) |
- I/O is offered in two form factors:
- PCI Express ExpressModules (EM)
and
- PCI Express Network Express Modules (NEM).
- Each Sun Blade X6220 has four, x8 lane PCI Express links allocated to:
- Each NEM has one link assigned to each server module. All server modules
share the NEM. For example, Blade 0 has access to NEM 0/slot 0,
and NEM 1/slot 0. Blade 1 to NEM 0/slot 1 and NEM 1/slot 1, etc.
- EM slots are not shared between server modules. Each EM slot is
specific to one server module.
