Solution Type Problem Resolution Sure Solution 1004253.1 : PSH: Diagnosis Issue for T5120 and T5220 (FMD-8000-11)
PreviouslyPublishedAs 205881 Symptoms A PSH diagnosis message appears on the console with the MSG-ID FMD-8000-11 (The Solaris[TM] Fault Manager unable to determine message summary). The action recommended in the message: Run pkgchk-n SUNWfmd does not resolve the problem. Resolution On the Sun SPARC Enterprise T5120 and T5220, this PSH message may be caused by a known issue with a fault class name (SUNBUG: 6532872).

Refer to http://sun.com/msg/FMD-8000-11 for more information. AUTO-RESPONSE: The diagnosis has been saved in the fault log for examination by Sun. IMPACT: The fault log will need to be manually examined using fmdump(1M) in order to determine if any human response is required. REC-ACTION: Use fmdump -v -u <EVENT-ID> to view the diagnosis result. Run pkgchk -n SUNWfmd to ensure that fault management software is installed properly. The faulty FRU displayed is correct. In the example above, the FRU is the motherboard. Contact Sun support to replace the faulty FRU. If the <fault class> is not fault.cpu.ultraSPARC-T2.misc_regs then contact Sun support to diagnose the problem.
