Solution Type Problem Resolution Sure Solution 1006429.1 : Sun Blade[TM] 150 workstation: serial console may not work properly after power-cycle, reset-all or OBP Update
PreviouslyPublishedAs 209013 Symptoms Sometimes, when a Sun Blade[TM] 150 workstation serial port, is used as its system console, text will be displayed, but the operator cannot type anything in. Replacing the system board or upgrading the system FW(firmware) can help until the next power cycle or reset, at which point the problem returns. Resolution This problem has been linked to a bug. The bug linked to the problem is 5071186 and is fixed in patch 119235-01 for the Sun Blade[TM] 100 and 150 workstations. Relief/Workaround The serial console will work properly with SW(software) flow control, or no flow control at all.
