PreviouslyPublishedAs 209139 Symptoms Certain Sun Fire[TM] X4100/Sun Fire[TM] X4200 servers have reversed mac address information in factory programmed FRU data. As a result N1[TM] System Manager cannot provision the systems. This will be automatically resolved by the 1st update release of x4100 / x4200 BIOS and SP Firmware. Resolution Certain x4100 / x4200 servers have reversed mac address information in factory programmed FRU data. As a result N1 System Manager cannot provision the systems. This will be automatically resolved by the 1st update of x4100 / x4200 BIOS and SP Firmware. Specifically, the following reversal of addresses was made in the ipmi fru records: mb.net0.fru showing GB_2, GB_3 MAC mb.net1.fru showing GB_0, GB_1 MAC Should be: mb.net0.fru showing GB_0, GB_1 MAC mb.net1.fru showing GB_2, GB_3 MAC Please see the following InfoDocs for further information on upgrading BIOS and SP Firmware: 83276 Process to upgrade the Sun Fire[TM] x4100 / x4200 BIOS and SP Firmware 83929 Precautions when upgrading Sun Fire[TM] x4100 / x4200 BIOS and SP Firmware Relief/Workaround None. Upgrade to the new version of x4100 / x4200 BIOS and SP Firmware (the initial Firmware Release is numbered r6464.rom.ima).
