PreviouslyPublishedAs 216898 Symptoms On a configuration with two displays, the screensaver is activated only on one display after the configured timeout is reached. Resolution This is a configuration problem. In the file $HOME/.Xdefault replace the parameter: dtsession*extension.saverTimeout: 0 with dtsession*extension.saverTimeout: 1 logout and then login to effect the parameter change, the screensaver will now be activated on both displays. Additional Information Additionnal test : Swap the device fb0 with fb1 in Replace : with : :0 Local local_uid@none root /usr/openwin/bin/Xsun :0 -s 1 -p 5 -nobanner +xinerama -dev /dev/fb1 -dev /dev/fb0 Product Sun Blade 150 Workstation screensaver Previously Published As 75149 Change History Date: 2004-12-06 User Name: 25440 Action: Approved Comment: Looks good - the additional information section now contains "before" and "after" entries so the difference is clear. I do wonder why this document took NINE MONTHS to reach this stage! Publishing. In the "Resolution", you mentioned that one should change the parameters in the "$HOME/.Xdefaults" file to correct the problem. Since these changes involve X resources that are read in each time X server is loaded, it will only take effect if the user logout and then login to effect the parameter change. Yes? Can you supply the necessary steps to effect the setting/parameter changes you suggested? 2. I cannot entirely comprehend the text supplied in the "Additional Information" section. "Additionnal checking : A swap the device fb0 with fb1 in /etc/dt/config/Xservers file can be done to check if the problem follows the swap. :0 Local local_uid@none root /usr/openwin/bin/Xsun :0 -s 1 -p 5 -nobanner +xinerama -dev /dev/fb0 -dev /dev/fb1" Please help rephrase the sentences and perhaps I can get a grasp of the message you are trying to bring across. If necessary, I can enlist the help of my colleague based in France to help.
