Symptoms
Pair of DIMMs that have the same Manufacturer's Part Number but different JEDEC ID codes may give an error indicating that they are from different vendors..

Resolution
If a V210 or V240 system reports an error message similar to:

"ERROR: /memory: CPU1 Bank 0 DIMMs are from diff vendors".

The issue is fixed with OBP 4.22.23 (or higher). To address this please apply the latest release of patch# 121683.

This problem is due to using a pair of DIMMs that have the same Manufacturer's Part Number but different JEDEC ID codes programmed in the SPD data. This error does not remove the memory from use but it does stop the system from booting automatically when "auto-boot?" is set to true.
