Symptoms

- Direct connect monitor does not work
- V40z is not displaying out the back video port

Changes

N/A

Cause

The video on these V40z servers have been redirected to the service processor port rather than to the video on the back of the server node.

Solution

Log into Solaris command line (as root) and enter:

# eeprom console=screen

If you want the console back to the SP, enter:

# eeprom console=ttya
