Symptoms

H-Bot Movement in RIM Corner May Make Clicking Noise

Cause

A small quantity of RIM rail corner sections were released that have the white plastic rivets retaining the copper strips installed upside down.  There is a slight possibility that the rivet can then be hit by the large rollers on the H-Bot making a faint clicking sound.  No functional errors have been reported due to this issue.

Solution

The correct orientation of the rivets is to have the smooth rounded part of the rivet on top of the copper strips and the larger, expanded part facing down.  The attached pictures show the rivets in the WRONG orientation.

Please inspect all new installations for this condition. If you encounter this issue, contact richard.kent@oracle.com or phil.garcia@oracle.com and replacement rivets with a simple removal/replacement procedure will be supplied.
