Impact A mismatch between the CPU FRU prom setting and the cache management code in the Sun System Firmware may (under rare circumstances) cause Level 2 cache data to mistakenly be tagged as valid, resulting in potential data corruption. 2. Contributing Factors This issue can occur on the following platforms:
To determine the Sun System Firmware version installed on the system, query from the Service Processor command line interface using the following commands: ILOM CLI: -> show /HOSTThe version information will be located under the "Properties" section. ALOM CLI: sc> showhost 3. Symptoms There are no predictable symptoms to indicate that this issue has caused data corruption on the system. 4.
