Description
This article describes the steps taken to reset LOM username and password on a Netra[TM] 20 Server.

Steps to Follow
How do you reset the LOM configuration if you are attempting to regain control of the server via the LOM card?
You will need one of the following:
  1. Access to the LOM port,
  2. A functioning Solaris instance from another hard disk, or
  3. The ability to remove the battery on the LOM card which will reset the existing LOM configuration.

Access to the LOM port will require a known username and password. If the username and password is unknown, one will have to reset the LOM username
and password to gain access. When building a Solaris[TM] Operating System disk on another system, ensure that you load the SUNWlomm, SUNWlomu and SUNWlomr packages to get your /platform/sun4u/kernel/drv/lom.conf file; then make the necessary adjustments to the file, and, in turn put this new disk in your original password protected T4/20.

Power cycle the original unit, and bring the unit back up. Delete the existing user in lom once you have obtained access back.

Note: In the above process, if OBP access is alluding you, then remove the SCC (System Configuration Card) and connect to ttya for console. This will give you OBP access.

"MIGRATION CLEANUP"
My name is Kinsey and I am a Knowledge Engineer working on post Voyager migration clean up. I am working on this article that is showing you as the author. I am unable to publish it into IBIS because what you have in the product statement is too broad. We need to know specifically which Nebs-Certified Servers this article applies to. Also this article is missing a required keyword statement. I will move the article back to Tech Review where you should be able to pick it up and add the products. If you are unable to or just don't have time please let me know and I will be happy to put the products in. Thank you
