Description

Steps to Follow
Verify Battery

NOTE:  This is a sub-set of  <Document: 1018272.1> : "Troubleshooting Sun StorEdge[TM] T3 hardware."  The steps below will help to verify and resolve battery problems.

1.  Verify the battery is not refreshing by using the "refresh -s"  command.

     Example for FW 2.x and below:

2. If a refresh is not occurring, refer to <Document: 1017436.1> : "PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE: Procedure for
extension of service life of T3 with 1.x FW and T3+ with 2.x FW
battery to 36 months. (formerly Document ID: I1126-1)."


3. If the battery is faulted and <Document: 1017436.1> : "PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE: Procedure for
extension of service life of T3 with 1.x FW and T3+ with 2.x FW
battery to 36 months. (formerly Document ID: I1126-1)" does not
apply then  replace battery.  Refer to <Document: 1012260.1> : "Battery Replacement Procedure for a Sun
StorEdge[TM] T3+ running Firmware 3.x" on how to replace a
battery.
