Applies to:Sun Fire X4100 ServerSun Fire X4200 Server All Platforms GoalDescription:There is an incompatibility between the shipping BIOS version (BIOS 36) for Sun Fire[TM] X4100 / X4200 and the LSI internal disk controller firmware. Shipping systems with BIOS 36 and without LSI firmware 1.10.0 and LSI BIOS 6.06.06A will lead to an error when trying to use the LSI configuration utility during boot. This shipping BIOS revision can be found on the software 1.2.1 media release. This incompatibility will cause the LSI MPT BIOS to be inoperable and prevent access to the hardware RAID utility. SolutionResolution:Press <CTRL><C> to enter the LSI setup utility after power-on. The the platform exhibits the symptoms described above, perform the following steps: Download software version 1.3 from the following location: https://updates.oracle.com/Orion/Services/download/p10335305_130_Generic.zip?aru=13177413&patch_file=p10335305_130_Generic.zip Update the firmware using this media. This media will deliver the following firmware updates:
