Steps to Follow
Scope: RSC firmware versioning for the Enterprise 250

Problem : RSC FW for the Enterprise 250 was stopped at v1.14. (There are currently no plans to implement further revisions) . RSC 2.x GUI is compatible for connecting to an E250 RSC card, but RSC 2.x FW is not supported on the E250 RSC card. The card HW does not support the later features of 2.x FW. Any attempt to update beyone 1.14 will fail.

As a result, you may see symptoms as such:

An attempt to upgrade the firmware of the RSC interface on one UE250 from 1.14 to 2.2 will give you the following results from the "rscadm status" command:

# ./rscadm status

RSC Bootmon v0.22

RSC Main v1.14

RSC Post Status = 0x1FFF

A subsequent attempt to reset the rsc will render the same results.

# ./rscadm resetrsc

# ./rscadm status

RSC Bootmon v0.22

RSC Main v1.14

RSC Post Status = 0x1FFF
