Description
How to change Banner Name for Netra[TM] 120 & Sun Fire[TM] v120.

Steps to Follow
Customer has a Netra 120 server, the system board was replaced and now the banner (at OBP)
displays:
Sun Fire[TM] V120 (UltraSPARC-IIe 548MHz), No Keyboard

OpenBoot[TM] 4.0, 512 MB memory installed, Serial #12345678.

Ethernet address X:X:XX:XX:XX:XX, Host ID: XXXXXXXX.

Customer says that since replacing the system board SunMC will not start.

Problem Solution:

The same system board is used for the Sun Fire V120 and the Netra 120 servers (375-3065).

The banner name is controlled by a jumper on the system board (JP8 from System HandBook):

JUMPER: PINS: SETTING: DESCRIPTION:

JP8 1-2 IN Select Netra 120 OBP banner

2-3 IN Select Sun Fire V120 OBP banner

Make sure that this jumper is set to the correct system type. This also would apply if the

system was a Sun Fire V120, and the jumper was set for the Netra 120 setting.
