Steps to Follow
Part numbers for SL8500 CAP
The redesign of the SL8500 cap released in March 2007 necessitated a new CAP motor design and added an additional locking motor. We also released a compatible CAP motor for the original CAP design due to CAP motor vendor change.

SL8500 Cap Part Numbers:
419869901 - CAP motor for the updated CAP with gear box released, 3/2007.
419847402 - CAP locking motor for the update CAP, released 9/2008.
419611901 - Original CAP motor replacement originally released in 6/2004.


Note:
The SL8500 parts manual incorrectly states that the part number for a CAP locking motor (dual motor CAP) is 4198700xx.

This is the number of the motor itself and is not a FRU. 
The correct part number for the FRU assembly is 419847402.
