Steps to Follow
How to download the Event log and Error Warning logs from the SL8500:
1. Refer to the SL8500 Installation Guide, Chapter 10, 'Connecting to CLI' for assistance connecting the PC to the SL8500.
2. Once connected, go to the Tools drop down menu along the top.
3. Go to the Reports dropdown.
4. Go to the Permanent Reports drop down.
5. Select the reports you wish to download and save as .txt files on your PC in a folder designated for your files.
6. Analyze files and attempt to determine cause of the failure.
7. Dispatch the local CSE or route to Backline Support if additional analysis is required.
