SolutionSteps to FollowComplete the following steps to remove a fan board: 1. Remove the top cover: a) Push the 2 fan door latches toward the rear of the server and open the fan door. 2. Remove the fan modules. Note If you are replacing a defective fan module connector board, remove only the fan modules that are necessary to remove the defective fan module connector board. 3. Remove the Phillips screw that secures the fan module connector board to the chassis. 4. Slide the fan board toward the left side of the chassis approximately 0.5 inch (12 mm) to disengage the fan board from the paddle board and the bottom of the chassis. 5. Lift the fan board up and out of the chassis.
