If library is in degraded mode, refer to <Document: 1019905.1>. If the library is functional proceed down the steps. -Verify that there is not a defective tape drive. Refer to <Document: 1019432.1> on resolving defective tape drive issue. If there is not a defective tape drive, proceed down the steps. -Verify that the jobs can read/write and there is no defective media. Refer to <Document: 1019811.1> on resolving R/W or media issues. If there is not a problem with media, proceed down the steps. -Verify that there is not a slow job performance problem. Refer to <Document: 1019816.1> on resolving Slow job performance issues. If there is not a problem with bandwidth, proceed down the steps. -Verify that this is not a problem with running out of tapes. Refer to <Document: 1007265.1> and <Document: 1015518.1> on tape availability issues. If there is not a problem with tape shortage issue, proceed down the steps. -Verify that this is not an application issue. Should there be problems with the application, contact the Software provider concerning application issues. If there is not a problem with the application, proceed down the steps. If the problem has not been resolved at this time, it will be necessary to open a case to Sun Support for further assistance.
