Description
This document is intended as a reference document when needing to translate between command and status addresses and physical components within the Netra CT900

Symptoms:

  • Need to identify the hardware addresses of CT900 FRUs

Purpose/Scope:

Different commands within the Netra CT900 use different references and address formats. This document is intended to bring the physical and logical references into one mapping table

Steps to Follow
Use the table below to identify which hardware address or IPMI bus address to use when using commands that require an address, or when interpreting status output.

The Power Zone column is added for convenience when needing to recognise which power input is feeding which physical board.
IPMB = Intelligent Platform Management Bus

* All the node boards and the shelf managers have Intelligent Platform Management Interface Controller (IPMC) chips which communicate across the IPMB. However, there is no IPMC on the other parts. The environmental status and control for these parts are communicated across a basic I2C bus and so have a common hardware address of 0x10.

To verify the hardware address list you can use the clia shelf at (address translation) command from the active ShMM

Example:

# clia shelf at
