Symptoms
Purpose and Scope This document gives details on how to recover CP3140/CP3240 configuration Netra CT900. Steps to Follow Items needed to recover CP3140/CP3240 configuration if not existed already: 1. Configure CP3140/CP3240 “serviceport” or “network” 2. Connect the NET MGT (Network Management) port to the intranet 3. A working tftp/ftp server that is reachable by the above intranet 4. A fully configured and working expected CP3140/CP3240
Please refer to the "Netra[TM] CT900 Server switch Software Reference Manual" (PN: 819-3774) and "Netra[TM] CP3240 Software Reference Manual" (PN: 820-3253) for the details on how to set up the “serviceport” or “network.”
Connect the NET MGT port on the front panel to the lab/building network. The tftp/ftp service only goes through this particular port. Steps needed to recover CP3140/CP3240 configuration:
Log
into the working CP3140/CP3240 that to backup the configuration file
from, and enter Privileged Exec Mode: User:admin NOTE:
Enter '?' for Command Help. Command help displays all options (ATS1160
Base) >enable (ATS1160 Base) # Use “show serviceport” or “show network” to make sure it is configured, and ping the tftp server to make sure it is reachable: (ATS1160

the “copy” command to backup the current running configuration,
and save it to a tftp server. First, need to copy the running
configuration to a NVRAM: (ATS1160
Base) #copy system:running-config nvram:startup-config This
operation may take a few minutes. Are

Saved! (ATS1160 Base) # Then
move the NVRAM content to a tftp server: (ATS1160

transferation completed successfully. (ATS1160 Base) # In the above example, 10.5.58.95 is the IP Address of a tftp server, and the file name can be any name given by the user.
Copy
the backup configuration from the tftp server to the problematic
