Scheduled maintenance window

FIELD ENGINEER INSTRUCTIONS

PROBLEM OVERVIEW:
Faulty or defective rear fan tray

WHAT STATE SHOULD THE SYSTEM BE IN TO BE READY TO PERFORM THE RESOLUTION ACTIVITY? :

WHAT ACTION DOES THE ENGINEER NEED TO TAKE:

1. Locate rear fan tray (located above power supplies)
2. Unscrew two spring loaded screws
3. Remove fan tray from system by holding the screws and gently pulling
4. Insert new fan tray by aligning with fan tray rails within chassis and push in firmly
5. Tighten screws

OBTAIN CUSTOMER ACCEPTANCE

WHAT ACTION DOES THE CUSTOMER NEED TO TAKE TO RETURN THE SYSTEM TO AN OPERATIONAL STATE:
Validate no errors are seen via SP ssh/web access or IPMItool

PARTS NOTE:
Rear fan tray located above power supplies
