GoalHow to Replace a Sun Blade X6250 Coin Battery.SolutionDISPATCH INSTRUCTIONSWHAT SKILLS DOES THE ENGINEER NEED:(IS A SITE ENGINEER AVAILABLE?) This component is a CRU and can be replaced by anyone. DELIVERY REQUIREMENT: This operation requires a complete power outage of the entire machine. Thus it needs to be planned according to the customer's wishes. Estimate AP Duration = 0.5 hours FIELD ENGINEER INSTRUCTIONS WHAT STATE SHOULD THE SYSTEM BE IN TO BE READY TO PERFORM THE RESOLUTION ACTIVITY? : Shut down the server WHAT ACTION DOES THE ENGINEER NEED TO TAKE: 1.- Power off the server and remove the server module from the chassis 2.- Remove the main cover 3.- If a RAID expansion module is present, lift it out of the way.(Note: The battery is under the RAID expansion module) 4.- Remove the battery by gently pulling the clip away from the battery face and lifting the battery straight up. Make note of the orientation (polarity) of the battery, as the new one will have to be installed the same way. 5.- Install the new battery in the holder with the same orientation (polarity) as the battery that you removed. OBTAIN CUSTOMER ACCEPTANCE WHAT ACTION DOES THE CUSTOMER NEED TO TAKE TO RETURN THE SYSTEM TO AN OPERATIONAL STATE: Restart the server PARTS NOTE: No parts needed.
