GoalHow to Replace the Sun Blade X6250 Memory Modules.SolutionDISPATCH INSTRUCTIONSWHAT SKILLS DOES THE ENGINEER NEED:(IS A SITE ENGINEER AVAILABLE?) A DIMM is a CRU and can be replaced by anyone. DELIVERY REQUIREMENT: Schedule with maintenance window Estimate AP Duration = 1 hours FIELD ENGINEER INSTRUCTIONS WHAT STATE SHOULD THE SYSTEM BE IN TO BE READY TO PERFORM THE RESOLUTION ACTIVITY?: System must be shut down. WHAT ACTION DOES THE ENGINEER NEED TO TAKE: 1.- Power off the server and remove the server module from the chassis 2.- Remove the main cover. 3.- Press the fault remind button on the motherboard to illuminate the LED for the DIMMs that have failed. 4.- Locate the DIMM slot on the motherboard to which you will install a DIMM. 5.- To remove a DIMM: * Rotate both DIMM slot ejectors outward as far as they will go. * Carefully lift the DIMM straight up to remove it from the socket. 6.- To install a DIMM: * Ensure that the DIMM slot ejectors at each end of the memory socket are fully open (rotated outward) to accept the new DIMM. * Align the notch in the bottom edge of the DIMM with the key in the DIMM socket. * Press down evenly on both top corners of the DIMM until the ejectors snap over the cutouts in the left and right edges of the DIMM.
