X6440 trained DELIVERY REQUIREMENT: schedule with maintenance window Estimate AP Duration = 0.5 hours FIELD ENGINEER INSTRUCTIONS WHAT STATE SHOULD THE SYSTEM BE IN TO BE READY TO PERFORM THE RESOLUTION ACTIVITY? : * The server must be fully shut down and the power cords disconnected. * Do not operate the system with empty slots. Always insert a filler panel into an empty slot to reduce the possibility of system shut down. * Take ESD Precautions. WHAT ACTION DOES THE ENGINEER NEED TO TAKE: 1. Power off the server and remove the server module from the chassis 2. Remove the main cover 3. Remove the two screws that secure the REM battery to the battery standoff connectors. 4. Lift the battery away from the standoff connectors while simultaneously pulling the battery from its slot. 5. Disconnect the battery cable from the chassis motherboard. Installation is the reverse of these procedures.
