Solution Type Troubleshooting Sure Solution 1011026.1 : How To Configure the Sun Ultra[TM] 40 Workstation BIOS To Display Diagnostic Screen When Booting
PreviouslyPublishedAs 215188 Description By default, the system will not be set up to display the diagnostic screen while booting. Instead a Sun Microsystems banner is displayed. For the purposes of troubleshooting it can be very helpful to view the diagnostic screen to see if there are any failures. Steps to Follow The following steps will enable the diagnostic screen during boot: 1.) Power system on. 2.) Sun Microsystems banner will be displayed. 3.) Enter "f2" immediately. 4.) Pheonix BIOS Setup Utility screen will be displayed. 5.) Use right arrow key to highlight "Main". 6.) Use down arrow key to highlight "QuickBoot Mode" and 7.) Use down arrow key to highlite "Boot-time Diagnostic Screen" 8.)
