A1000 - D1000 LEDs

In general any fault status will be shown by a flashing amber LED. A solid amber LED implies a download or upgrade in progress while a solid green LED indicates normal operation. Here are the specific codes for each LED type. All of these assume power is on, unless indicated.

Front LEDs

System Power LED
Current Status
solid green
  • Array is powered on


System Summary FaultLED
Current Status
solid amber
  • A system component, such as a disk, cooling canister, or a power supply needs service


Disk Drive LEDs
(Each slot has 1 two color LED)
Current Status
off
  • No disk drive in slot
solid green
  • Disk drive present, but not active
blinking green
  • Disk drive present and active
solid amber
  • Disk drive has been marked as failed by A1000 controller (A1000 only)

 

Rear LEDs

Power Supply LED
(1 two color LED on each power module)
Current Status
solid green
  • Power supply is operating normally
solid amber
  • Power supply has failed, but the other power supply is operating normally, or when the power cord is unplugged
off
  • Both power supplies are unplugged or both have failed


Cooling Canister LEDs
(2 two color LEDs on each module, one for each blower)
Current Status
solid green
  • Individual blower is operating normally
solid amber
  • Individual blower has failed
off
  • Cooling canister not inserted


D1000 Controller Interface Board
(2 single color LEDs)
Temperature Fault LED
Current Status
solid amber
  • Board has detected a thermal fault
off
  • Temperature is normal
Power LED
Current Status
solid green
  • Controller interface board is powered on
off
  • Controller interface board is receiving no power


A1000 Controller
(6 single color LEDs)
Controller Fault LED
Current Status
solid amber
  • Controller fault detected

  • Controller functioning normally
Controller Activity LED
Current Status
solid green
  • Controller is active
off
  • Controller is inactive
Temperature Fault LED
Current Status
solid amber
  • Controller board is operating above normal temperature

  • Controller temperature is normal
Controller Power LED
Current Status
solid green
  • Controller board is powered on

  • Controller board is receiving no power
Battery Fault LED
Current Status
solid amber
  • No battery present or there is a battery fault
off
  • Battery is fully charged
Battery Charge LED
Current Status
solid green
  • Battery is fast charging
blinking green
  • Battery is in the pre-charging phase
off
  • Battery is not charging
