Sun StorEdge[tm] T3 / T3+ Array: Repair Procedures
This section provides the most common repair procedures for the T3 and T3+.

Minimum supported releases for the Sun StorageTek T3+, 6120, 6320 and 6920. 
            (FAB  1000061.1).

 The latest firmware for StorEdge T3 and T3+ Arrays 
            is a vailable in patches 109115-xx and 115180-03 or later. It is recommended 
            that these arrays be updated with the latest firmware. 
            (FIN  I0619-7).

 Specific serial numbers of 36GB and 73GB Allegro 7 drives
	   may experience 0bx47 SCSI Parity Errors. (FCO  A0231-2).

 Improved firmware for Seagate 10K.6 disk drives will reduce the incidence of unexpected outages 
          due to a spindle motor issue (FIN  I1136-1).

StorADE software may cause Sun StorEdge T3/T3+ disk 
            firmware upgrades to fail, which may lead to disabled LUNs (FIN  I0997-1).

Sun StorEdge T3+ Arrays with firmware version 2.01.01 
            and Sun StorEdge 3900/6900 Series systems with Service Processor (SP) 
            Image 2.1.2 are susceptible to loss of volume access or data loss 
            due to a disk error handling issue (FIN  I0986-1).

Failure to properly investigate "disk error 03" 
            messages could result in unnecessary downtime (FIN  I0966-1).

Improved drive firmware will reduce the incidence 
            of HDI failures on IBM Discovery disk drives (FIN  I0955-1).

Sun StorEdge T3+ arrays with firmware versions lower 
            than 2.01.03 may be susceptible to loss of availability (FIN  I0876-3).

When hotswapping a drive the status of the new drive may stay at 
            "2D", or u1d9 port 1 may intermittently go to "bypass" state 
            (FIN  I0833-1).

Disk drives in some Sun StorEdge T3/T3+ Arrays may 
            be difficult to remove due to sticking drive latches (FIN  I0824-1).

Seagate ST336605FC 36GB and ST373405FC 73G drives 
            could be susceptible to label corruption (FIN  I0816-1).  
         
        -  
          
18.2GB and 36GB IBM disk drives may be susceptible 
            to early life failures problem (FIN  I0724-2).  
         
        - When replacing a failed disk, loop 2 (APATH or Path 1) path on new 
          drive may fail (FIN I0691-1).
 
        - Sun StorEdge T3 Arrays containing Seagate Cheetah 4 18GB/36GB/73GB 
          drives with firmware versions prior to A72x may experience severe performance 
          degradation due to fatal drive timeouts (FIN I0650-1).
 
        - Seagate Cheetah 7 146GB FC-AL and 73 GB FC-AL disk drives
          may experience higher than expected failure rates due to
          spindle motor failure (FCO A0256-1).

 Seagate Cheetah 7 FC-AL and SCSI disk drives with serial numbers below 60000 are experiencing 
            a higher than expected failure rate due to a spindle motor issue (FCO  A0239-1).  
       
        - Controllers may experience assertion errors due to 0bx47 SCSI Parity 
          errors reported by Fujitsu 36GB and 73GB FCAL drives (FCO A0231-1).
 
        - Seagate 4 FCAL and SCSI Disk Drives may experience higher than expected 
          failure rates (FCO A0222-1).
 
        - Error installing Solaris on ST318304 FC-AL disk drives: Could not create Solaris disk label [VTOC] (Problem article 1005941.1).

StorEdge T3 Array battery refresh cycle should be 
            changed to 28 days to avoid premature battery failure (FIN  I0677-1).  
         
        - Customers and field personnel may misinterpret certain StorEdge T3 
          syslog messages which report T3 battery problems. This can result in 
          Power and Cooling Units (PCU) being replaced when they are not bad. 
          This causes unnecessary expense and possible down time for a customer's 
          system. (FIN I0674-1).

T3/T3+ Power Control Unit (PCU) connectors on the 
            midplane may be damaged by applied force and/or stress during normal 
            maintenance (FIN  I1030-1).
